Local Food Haul: Late April

It's late April in Ohio...here's what I'm able to source locally.

Eggs. The worst of winter is behind us when I can get as many eggs as I want. And when they're this beautiful and delicious, I'll take plenty.

Homegrown asparagus. Is there anything better? I've been eyeing the asparagus patch for weeks by the time it's ready for the first harvest of the year.

Maple syrup. Definitely try a B grade if you can find it...they actually have a lot more flavor than A.

Violets. These are edible! And they will make simple dishes Instagram-ready. Plus they're good for you!

Spring onions. These are perennials and I have patches of them everywhere. They are delicious and super easy to grow.
